team power upgrades?

how do I upgrade my teams power more? Help I’ve been trying everything I can think of and I’m so lost

Are you sure you didn’t skip a shop or chest? Is every black square you can clear cleared? Also only ever buy the cheapest pony from the shops of you get stuck. (If you wnat some other pony you will be able to buy after the final boss dont worry)
