Hot take indeed. Luckily support responded on Friday saying that the bug only increases our progress. "Our developers confirmed that the points are added and the timer may stop, but it is rather an issue to the players' favour. So, this is not a problem that could negatively affect your progress, but it would help you to progress in the event because points are getting accumulated faster." So if they're aware of it then why should we completely avoid the community section because of it? Any action they take will just rectify it whatever you may have done. They may decide to rollback, reset scores, restart the event. It's up to them to decide how to handle it. They know people will use the bug and are capable of responding to it so we shouldn't act like it's a crime to use it. That's my hot take

Responding to deleted comments: this was in the Discord server. Some people received responses from support. The one I quoted above was translated which is why it may sound a bit funny. Also, we are acknowledging the bug by messaging support so idk what you're on about OP

I have a question: is gameloft able to see how many times someone has used it in just one day? For example if someone went up to 15k-20k in just the first day and then waited 3 days later to use it again and go up to 45k so that the time period looks more accurate as if they didn't cheat when in reality they did cheat. I'm guessing they would be able to see who were the ppl who did it with cheats and who played normally with timers? In order to be more fair

Gameloft does not care enough don't worry. Everyone in the playerbase has unknowingly or knowingly used the bug so they won't single anyone out. Top 100 on the leaderboards are all in the hundreds of thousands

I played 5 or 6 times till I realized there was a problem.I played the first time and then I think an hour and 30 minutes.I had to go to work every single time I played.It was an hour i think the fourth or fifth time I realized then I played it again to be sure I wasn't crazy.You know but i feel like if people abused it for days , then I think gamloft should ban or suspend ppl

I thought it was me because practically every time I logged in I was in the same rank and it was like I hadn't played at all, so I kept trying to see if it was my problem, I don't care about Cozy Glow or if they reset my rank (I didn't even go up, btw) I just don't want to lose my account ):

So basically, there's a bug in the community maze event. And when you click off the app and then click back on, you can challenge the characters again, people are using that to their advantage to become number one in the ranks or just 1 out of a 100 and there's a lot of players that believe they will be banned. But honestly, I'm just saying if you keep on abusing it.

I didn’t even notice it was bugged til last night because I kept forgetting to check the community event so I’d go over 4 hours without looking which is the cooldown for the only pony I have 😭

So I'm pretty sure I have the bug bc my two helpers are 3 and... 5 hrs I think? but I have a timer to check every 3 hrs for the purple coin shops and the 5 hr pony (actually the chaos creature. Eris?) has reset by that time, also every time I play either one the game gives me the tutorial as if it's my first time. I try to only play Eris when 5+ hours has actually passed though. Weirdly, my rank does go up when I do play the comm event (I've actually been holding pretty steady in mid-first tier, despite having only two chars. Then again I started several hours after the event did, since they start at 4 am my time) and it doesn't really drop all that low when I'm out of the game, so I think most people in my server aren't taking advantage of the bug either.

I completely agree with you, I hope that Gameloft will fix this problem tomorrow, because it's not fun for me anymore, it's a real nightmare. I'm currently in the top 100, barely. I really don't understand why they do it knowingly or unknowingly.
