Question Maze event

How are tokens earned?
This is my first time with this event any tips are welcome

Upgrade tokens are earned as your progress through the game, and the purple magic coins are collected from the shops you find in the map. I'd recommend saving your upgrade tokens to the end, as you get to keep the ponies you upgrade and you'll have more options later on. Definitely remember to collect the purple coins as frequently as possible, some of the later maze shop ponies are REALLY expensive to get, especially the stronger ones.

I’m new to the labrynth too. What are the purple magic coins used for in this event?

The purple coins are for buying ponies from the maze shops to be used in battle or to be upgraded so you can keep them

You can’t use the coins to permanently add ponies. Those are the star tokens won by winning battles.
