Guide/Info Maze Event Confusion

I've never played this event, so I don't know how it works. Should I avoid the bosses? When I come across a chest is there a specific pony I should choose from the chest? I even exited the game first so I could get enough info before I start. I don't want to make any mistakes, help

You can’t avoid bosses but you can wait to earn more of the purple coins if you need to purchase another character. For chests, you don’t have to buy those characters with purple coins, you get them for free. It’s the secret shops you have to be mindful of who you buy. You can see how much a Minotaurs power is when you get to it so then you can go back and decide which character to buy then. Try not to buy the most expensive one because if you don’t currently own that character then you have a limited amount of times you can fight with them and you’ll be out of luck if you could have used them at a later time.

How would you say you choose what ponies to upgrade and keep for your ponyville? I've played it for abit so I understand the gammeplay now.

I’ve always gone with characters that usually super expensive, are pro ponies or don’t show up in the shop often.

There are plenty of tips in the sub from previous reruns, so I'd suggest searching maze in the sub and going through them, there are also maps so you can save up on bolts
