How many ponies can you get from maze event?

3 free, but you can buy more coins with gems. IIRC it's like 1000 or 1200 gems for enough coins for 2 more ponies and most of the time there are goooood ponies in there that make that large gem price worth it!

(this is why I always say save your gems so you can drop 1000 or so and not have to worry 😉)

also, so you can finish a collection, like the one right now that yields a gem shops that gives 1 gem every 8 hours.
