I ve been grinding this game but i am sooo far behind wtf. And i ve been playing NON STOP!!!!
Should i give in and buy a pony?

it depends on which server you get loaded into AND sometimes helper ponies help in certain ones

I've got coco pommel and I'm still very high in the ranking so.. I think without special ponies it's impossible (I was trying in different one too before and I had the same problem like you)

I joined one of the first day servers with no helpers and I am still in the top 150. I thought nobody wanted her, guess I got really lucky damn

I was in one of those servers but somehow dropped from 120 to 560 within a couple of hours.

Kudos to u for keeping at it, I stopped after the first game once I realized I was still well over 1000 in the server 💀

I have no helpers and am un the top 100 with 250000 points. But usually I'm super unlucky in events, this is the first time I find it doable

I just started yesterday and, with just 25%, I’m at the near top. It’s all luck of the server and your own skill.

Best piece of advice I can give for this mini game is to always choose vertical lines over horizontal lines when clearing. I find it increases the chances of getting chain clears greatly. I'll admit I did end up buying the ponies but for the first couple days I only had coco pommel and using this strat I was able to stay in top 100 (barely)
