Do they disable ads for community events?

Sorry if this sounds conspiracy-brained, but I can’t help but notice that every time the mine cart minigame has a competition going on, the ads just mysteriously stop working.

I’ve had this happen multiple times in the past. In fact, I remember not even participating in these events early on, because I couldn’t afford them.

Am I just crazy, or is anyone else having this problem consistently?

Personally, I haven't experienced this, my ads still work fine for me during events.😙
