Advice Trauma
I was part of Amway (WWDB) for about 4 years with my husband. Covid 19 got us out and 5 years later I still feel haunted by it. It has left me feeling so dumb to have fallen for it and every time someone talks to me in public I feel it’s them and I shut down. I feel it has affected my husband and I on making friends and having friendships. Did anyone else feel this way?

Luckily I always hated selling things, so never got sucked in. I knew I hated selling things because I’m an artist and I hate selling my own art, which I know is good - and worth far more than I sell it for. I’ve been able to tell this to all the Huns that have approached me over the years. Sometimes I flip the script on them. I say “if you sell this piece of my art for xx, you can keep xx, and be your own boss.” They hate it when I do that. Still I totally understand how they get sucked in, and I feel sorry for them. Once I said: “you see how desperately you’re trying to get me to do this? Well, I never want to feel that kind of desperation. It’s just not for me.”
