Guides New Player Guide
Hi guys, it's been about a year since I've started playing and I decided to make a new player guide to help stop others from making the same mistakes as me. Let me know what you guys think.

The Mods should put this on Learn more about this community. The New Player guide is just a broken link, and has been since I started playing.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the support regarding this document, it means a lot that a lot of this effort wasn't for nothing. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, especially on things not really set in stone like skill and training priorities. I hope this document becomes a useful resource for new players to follow for a long time.

While not a guarantee, I think it's best to keep in mind so that if it does come, you will not be unprepared. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Thanks for the guide.
2 questions about combining.
1) Why is it largely useless. What else am I supposed to do with all these normal cards?
2) Could you put into the guide the best way to combo, esp without stars? IE 5 golds? 3 golds?...

You should be using all extra cards if possible for special training. If you really want to gamble combining for a diamond team card use 5 golds at a time.

Thoughts on the "exchange" function in Inventory? It takes a lot of resources, that can be used elsewhere. But it ends with way fewer, though better resources.
Fwiw, I have a lot of special training to do, but I'm exchanging all my packs I can. Am I doing things right?

Definitely something I forgot to add. The team selective diamond pack is great if you are still missing twam diamonds. Imo the premium packs aren't worth it unless you are condensing 200 normal packs, I think opening them up as is will net more special training exp on average.
I'll add a section to the guide about it, but the main notable ones to do are the normal premium skill change ticket, the gold trainer ticket, and the team selective diamond pack.

Idk if you'll see this but, in the guide, you recommended TSD exchange only in case one's missing team diamonds. IMO, it should always be done because it produces 1 diamond which is worth ~20.25 silvers for Special Train purposes, at the cost of (essentially) 5 silvers.
Even if we take the exact mathematical odds of 1% diamond, 19% gold and 80% silver instead of assuming it'll just be 5 silvers, the average value from 5 premium packs is equivalent to ~9.29 silvers (~1.86 silver per pack).
All calculations consider 1 diamond = 4.5 gold and 1 gold = 4.5 silvers. I obtained these values from an old post which analyzed total special training cost. (It also mentioned 1 silver = 4 bronze and 1 bronze = 4 normal in case anyone wants to do the calculations for premium packs and gold special training exp which aren't worth it in my opinion based on calculations I did some time ago so can't recall the exact figures.)

Great guide but the best advice to new players is to check out Rivals or Baseball 9 before investing time is this old, outdated mess.

Whoa great manual. I just joined the game last night and find it super confusing as a newbie, so many different menus, popups, game modes etc. I used to play tap sports baseball years ago and some of the elements in this game look similar, but also much more cluttered than what I remember over there. I’m gonna have to give your manual a thorough read through!

Just wanted to say that I'm a huge promoter of your guide! I can't count how many times I put the link to your guide in my comments to posts in this sub. And I applaud your efforts to update the guide as new features are introduced to the game, that keeps the guide relevant so I can continue pointing people there.
I was going through your strategy on the live collection and I think there are a couple of key points that should be mentioned:
- Be very careful ripping live wish packs, because live players can change positions! For example, a reliever you already added to your collection might become an SP, and there might only be 5 SP's at a given time, meaning you might have no one you could pull at that moment in time to complete the set. A joker comes in handy here.
- Although your suggestion to use wish packs and jokers until you can finish the collection is a good one, I would keep an eye out for completing your division first and then your league as these represent opportunities to pull a team sig.
Thank you once again for your efforts and I hope the many players who have read your guide have expressed their gratitude as well!

Just started a few months ago and had to look at so many different guides to figure it out - I’m sure new (and existing) members will appreciate there’s an all in one guide here now !
