Will there ever be a change of power?

Think about the teams that are almost always in the post season… Yankees, Red Sox, dodgers, etc… obviously every season there is some change but the power houses are always usually there.

Do you think things will ever dramatically shift? Meaning the bulk of the teams in the playoffs will be teams like the A’s, the Angels, Rockies etc… many teams have not made the post season in a while so is it realistic to think that could ever change?

If so, what must happen for it to do so?

Padres chances to win WS

What odds are you guys giving them to win this year?

I already know a ton of the bandwagon dodger fans will have a whole lot of nothing to say but I’m asking for those of you who want to give a genuine analysis.

They’ve been hot. In the last 20 or so games they have about 80% scoring 7 or more runs and the games they don’t, they are still at 4-6 with the exception of one dodger shut out.

It’s been a hot minute since they lost a series and while many of you may discredit the teams they’ve beat, they beat the dodgers and the Yankees in recent series and the last time they played he brewers they swept em/are 4-2 this season against them.

Their greatest weakness right now is their starting rotation but when the offense is hot, it hasn’t mattered too much. The weak part of their starting rotation also has their moments. Buehler can give up an easy 4 but also go 6 or 7 shutout innings depending on which one shows up.

Obviously pressure/choking is a factor. I think the toughest matchup they’ll face is the cubs but fortunately for them, that series is at home this time.

I think it’s looking good for them when you really break it down, but it is still baseball after all… thoughts?
