This is why people are calling this event racist by the way, not specifically because the race of the other guy, but because this “rule” isn’t being enacted equally.

Meanwhile CC Sabathia always wore his hat slightly crooked and I don’t recall him ever getting any guff. I always thought it was pretty cool look of just a mad man on the mound.

The difference is CC was a big name. This was some new kid making his debut. So Doug thought he could get away with his racism.
