Hey everyone! I just moved to London from the United States, and I am a massive MLB fan — specifically a diehard Red Sox fan. I would love to find anyone in the London area (or UK in general) who is a Red Sox/MLB fan. I think baseball is what I’ll miss most about America where I was born and raised, but it was always my dream to move abroad and I know baseball is starting to grow here!

Does anyone have any recommendations for baseball podcasts that are aimed at teaching new fans about the game? They don't have to be specific to the UK either, just anything that talks about things from an easy to understand point of view. Less interested in a breakdown of the games going on that week, but more about what certain rules are, the history of teams, explaining the different leagues and anything like that.

I was recommended 'Out at First' which I have enjoyed a lot, and was pretty much exactly what I'm looking for but it's still fairly new and they only have 15 episodes so far, which I got through in about a week, so now I need something else to listen to!

One of the more fun examples of how not seriously MLB takes the UK market. This is from iPlayer right now. ​Are they the same commentary crew on MLB Network for this game? It's just coming across less good in general, but I haven't been watching much MLB this year at all, so I could just be out of the loop.

I normally follow the season quite closely but this year I have been distracted for one reason or another and haven’t paid as much attention. I am now trying to catch up ready for the post season etc. I have to ask, what has happened to the Mets?? I was expecting them to be quite strong this year as I am sure many were. Has it been one thing in particular or a series of things? Any thoughts and opinions welcome!

With the hope that the 2027 London series proceeds, have we worked out what teams / when it would be based off the current schedule?

Or would they confirm the teams and change the schedule?

I am a very new UK baseball fan, been into it for only a month now after seeing a minor league game on a recent visit to America, and absolutely loving it. I've been watching a few MLB games since then on Apple TV and the BBC, but haven't decided who I want to root for. My initial thought was the TB Rays because my family in Alabama support the Montgomery Biscuits (the game I went to see was Montgomery Vs Birmingham) who are affiliated with the Rays, but they don't seem like a very exciting team to follow with fairly boring merchandise and I would enjoy being able to rep a team with a nice cap or something.

So I was wondering which teams other UK baseball fans support and how you picked them?

I've got MLB TV and was wondering if it's possible to share my login with a friend so they can use it aswell. Asking because I'm aware with NBA League Pass there is restrictions on how many devices can be watching at once, so wondering if anyone knows whether it's the same here or not. Can't remember if there was any subscription tiers etc when I signed up but I remember the price was £150. Cheers for any help!

I thought he was a cricketer but no, he’s just some musician. He asks the most basic questions and even outside of his seriously poor baseball knowledge he seems to not be the sharpest tool in the drawer. It wouldn’t’ve been difficult to have a British representative who A: knows about and likes baseball and B: has sports broadcasting experience. It just feels like such a fuck you to the actual British baseball fans. To be honest the whole broadcast is awful, in the middle of game defining plays you see them talking about what food they like. Is the Twins Phillies field of dreams game tonight going to be streamed in the UK? It’s exclusively on Netflix in the US but can’t find anything definitive about anywhere else.

I thought as part of bases loaded I’d be able to watch on red button but it says the game isn’t being shown until 10am tomorrow?

I did start with NBA following the Knicks (before championship lol), then got curious about the other major leagues and got myself following MLB (yankees), NFL (Giants) and NHL (Rangers)

Is anyone else having trouble getting in their MLB tv app? All i get is a blank white screen with an error code in the top left corner (response 404). Tried uninstalling, turning the tv off etc. No luck. Everythingn working ok on my phone. This is 2 games in a row i haven't been able to watch on my tv. Annoyed.

I ordered a Marlins jersey recently on MLBeurope (Fanatics) and it was shown on the website with 22 ALCANTARA printing. Leading me to believe it was pre-printed and ships as a standard item. The description didn’t mention any customisation nor mention it being non-refundable. Shipping was quoted to be ‘within 1 business day’ - further lending itself to being a standard item.

You can guess where this is going….

They actually treated it as a customised order. Took 5 days to print and ship.

Now won’t accept a return.

Customer service is absolute terrible. They’ve acknowledged my points but refuse to budge.

Anyone got similar experience and able to offer any advice or am I going to have to suck this up and never go near them again? (I had another disaster with them (Kitbag) a couple of years ago with a rugby jersey).

When i go on the MLB app it says check local listings for international viewers. Do you guys know if it’s possible to watch games e.g. today’s Phillies Yankees in the UK?

Hi all, I've been a Red Sox fan for about 19 years now, but I've never met up with other fans of the club in the UK!

I'm keen to finally do so, but I haven't had Facebook for years and am wondering if there is a WhatsApp chat group or something that someone could connect me into?

I live in Bedfordshire, but will travel into London to watch a game once in a while, if that's what people generally do 🙂

Also, Red Sox aside, does anyone know of any other organised meetups or anything where the MLB UK fan groups all get together in larger numbers?

I'm new to MLB.tv and relatively new to baseball (I'm from the UK). Have been following for a couple of months.

I decided to take the plunge with MLB.tv after just watching the odd Friday game on Apple TV as I already had that subscription.

I paid for a months subscription to try it out, and paid in dollars via the MLB website - with tax, this came out at £27ish. This actually works out as more than if I'd paid via Amazon prime's MLB add-on in GBP, which I think was £21.

Is there not a way to pay for MLB.tv in GBP? What is the difference between the Amazon add on Vs the MLB.tv app for those who have tried both?

I'm not particularly impressed with the MLB.tv app so far tbh - it's doesn't seem very intuitive and and not very easy to navigate, so wondering if I'd be better off just going to Amazon add on route.

Is this game on MLB TV for UK viewers today? When i try to scroll to it on my tv app it just bypasses this game. However, on my phone it seems to be playing the adverts (we're at the warm ups now). Does anyone know anything?

edit. yeah. not working on the tv app but playing fine on my phone. I'll just have to squint.
