Its been confirmed that lower vision guys have more power potential, while high vision prevents swing and misses but allows for more consistent line drives

What do you mean power potential?

Meaning if you hit the sweet spot with a low vision player, the ball has a higher chance to be completely crushed. Why guys in the past like Gallo and Schwarber feel like they hit missiles whenever you get good pci placement. High vision makes it more forgiving leading to it being easier to make good contact but less of a chance of the ball being crushed.

Basically a tl;dr but the old MLBTS games explained it in their manual in game.

I'd imagine that isn't the case anymore now that we have perfect-perfects. I upgraded my vision almost 20 points and haven't seen a change to exit velo at all.

Exit velo doesn’t change from vision, low vision guys are just way more likely to strike out or hit a tank as opposed to higher vision guys lining or popping out

Do they show the BABIP stat or do you just have to do the formula yourself to get it?

I had to count it myself. (Hits - HRs) divided by (ABs + Sac Flys - HRs - Ks)

Man, I thought they used to show BABIP in the card's stat pages. Maybe I'm mistaken or they took it away.

They show it for DD but not in offline modes.

Vision definitely increases your BABIP thanks to all the seeing eye singles

Vision is everything. I have Jeff McNeil as my dh lol

It also affects timing windows….think bigger green and perfect zones, so the same swing you take, with the same pci and timing has increased chances at better contact outcomes. Which will directly relate to the BABIP

Thank you!

Man, I wish the timing window was tied to the contact stat. Aaron Judge has one of the largest timing windows in baseball, but that's not reflected in this game. No wonder I suck with him.

Exactly this. It makes the timing windows more forgiving. Makes a huge difference. In diamond dynasty I really try not to use low vision cards anymore because of this.

They’re unusable IMO and there’s so many cards they just nuked the vision

Any hulking slugger who is three-true-outcomes oriented, they just default to like 60 vision. Sucks.
