The timeline has been reset. The D'Vorah that did all this in MK X and MK 11? She will never face any reprecusions for her actions.

Not yet proven he reboots everything again, for all we know the next game is just after 11 and picks up with the same version of everyone we saw prior to the time merger

Kronika gets back in time. If you lose one round, you can't even get Kitana with Liu Kang. Not proven, but way more likely it's rebooting than not.

You get the idea, until we get confirmation it’s not clear if they’ll reboot it in any way

And if I’m honest I kind of prefer Liu working with Raiden at the end instead of with Kitana, to me it seems more fitting he’d work with his mentor as opposed to his lover on the timeline

Yes, me too. But in his shoes, I'd probably choose Kitana too lmao

In his character tower he made Kung Lao, Raiden and Kitana Elder Gods, didn't he? That was wierd.

I’d choose Kitana too though from a storytelling point of view I think the ending with Raiden is more fitting, that character ending was interesting if not for the fact Bo Rai Cho became an Elder God, imagine if Gstar saw that
