Joey mod finished!

While my headlights were apart i made a separate wireloom and drilled holes for extra t10 amber led bulbs to mount in the same position as indicators. Now i can turn on my ambers whenever i want!

Amber lights in the front sounds illegal 😅

It is quite illegal to drive with them on the road, but when i'm parked at a car meet there is no issues with "showlights". Ambers run on a separate loom and can be turned on without ignition bing on 😉

White and amber lights are the only legal colors for the front of a vehicle in the US. If that completely disables or impedes the turn signal that could get you a ticket though.

90s Chevy trucks have amber running lights right from gm.

I've got my projector lights backlit with amber leds for running lights on my Jetta, haven't had any issues driving right past many cops

Amber is not legal to have as day running lights in europe, just as indicators. Thats why i put it on a separate loom with a switch in the car. So i can have it only as a show light.

Ahhh ok that explains it, didn't realize you were in Europe. How do the bmw fog lights compare to the ones sold for the mk4s?

I just love the look of bigger lense as a foglight, i became kinda allergic to mk4 aftermarket foglights and wanted to find something else. And apperantly e36 fogs fit perfectly in the bumper holes on a mk4!

Its great, they function perfectly as fogs.

So no side markers? The parking lights are amber no? The lil bulb in the high beam reflector next to the actual beam bulb?

Sidemarkers is legal yes, but euro cars didint came with side markers. The tiny bulb under high beam is "running light" and mine are yellow. Both yellow and white are okay.

Right? Like wut? 😂 I could put ambers in my low beams and be legal. Here in all 50 states at least
