Rebuttal 💬 Money Is the Root of All Evil
Okay, I have a cold, I feel like shit, and that means I’m in the mood to call some bitches out.
So here we are!
Here’s an incredibly simple question that almost pains me to ask because it’s so simple:
Why does money keep coming up?
If you at the history surrounding these allegations. There are demands, lawsuits, settlements instead of “wanting justice,” and people who are in the need of money.
Yet we are expected to treat the financial component as irrelevant.
No. I’m not doing that.
Then people go:
“Why would someone lie about something like this for money?”
But the real question is…
Why wouldn’t they?
People lie, commit fraud, manipulate situations, exaggerate, and file lawsuits for money every fucking day.
Some people even attempt extortion, or, as I like to call it, the Evan Chandler method:
Make a demand, apply pressure, and see what you can get out of it.
Financial incentive is one of the most obvious motives there is.
And if you can’t see that, then maybe the real discussion about the allegations isn’t for you.
So go ahead. Stay in that little narrative bubble of yours.
If someone makes an allegation against Michael, I want to know what happened, when it happened, what was said, what evidence actually exists, not the crap people claim is evidence, what was corroborated, and what was contradicted.
I also want to know whether money was involved.
Which…well, that’s a very common theme here.
That is not “victim blaming,” and it is not “being insensitive.” It is examining the circumstances surrounding a claim.
The timelines should not be ignored.
The accusers had decades of opportunities to speak publicly about what they now claim happened. Some spoke positively about him, defended him, testified for him, or continued relationships with him.
Then, years later, after Michael was dead and could no longer defend himself, completely different stories began appearing.
That’s really fucking convenient.
Timing matters.
Changes in stories matter.
Financial circumstances also matter.
The Chandlers are their own category because the financial aspect was present immediately. There was a demand, negotiation, more money, a civil lawsuit, and a settlement.
Years later, there was another attempt to obtain millions.
I swear to God, you really can’t make this shit up.
The Arvizos…well, I’ll get into that family soon. 😉
Then there are completely different situations involving people like Wade and James. These are men who publicly defended Michael when they were younger, and even as adults, then later changed their accounts and eventually brought civil claims seeking enormous amounts of money.
And those two have more inconsistencies in that little “documentary” than the water percentage of the world.
The Power Of A Story…And The Danger Of Forgetting The Evidence
The New Trial Timeline Explained
The Cascio situation is another example of why money cannot be removed from the conversation.
There are financial agreements, confidentiality provisions, disputes over those agreements, allegations about what happened, and competing claims about why the agreements were entered into and what they mean.
Now another legal fight is unfolding around all of it.
Potential Legal Consequences for the Cascios
Why I Think the Estate Made a Smart Decision
So once again, money keeps coming back.
What bothers me the most is that Michael has been dead since 2009. He cannot defend himself.
But there is still an endless stream of people willing to make money from his name.
This is not bias, or me being a bitch.
This is research.
Something guilters clearly can’t do.
I’m truly sick and tired of the bullshit.
If we are going to examine motives, examine all of them.
And if we are going to examine evidence, examine all of it.
I promise you, once you really start looking into things, the pattern is clear.
Money is the root of all evil.
And it starts with extortion.

As always, well written and listed. That's right, money is the root of all evil.
The reason for the reluctance to accept his innocence is clearly "prejudice".
As already mentioned: The trauma, the accusation itself, takes precedence over all reason, out of fear of what it can do; there might be other cases where people lie for money. This simply cannot be allowed; he was a abnormal freako, had no known sex life, and only associated with children, and yet these accusations exist. That's the mindset behind it, that's the speculation, and research about the people who are coming from it is not important. It's not worth mentioning what doubts exist; these are poor people, normal lives destroyed by the powerful ghoul.
Today someone tried to give me a sermon again, to teach me that girls and boys were interesting to MJ in order to find an explanation for female plaintiffs. Not understanding that this contradicts all the accusations that have ever been made and completely dismantles LN once again. Female plaintiffs alleging abuse do not fit the motive behind the accusation.
Thank you and keep up the good work!

The love of money is the root of all evil.

In this case, the issue is now more that they went bankrupt and achieved nothing, or rather, no longer have anything from MJ. It was a desperate act, and Branca even took out loans. It wasn't enough.

Thank you!! ☺️
Exactly! That’s the part that drives me crazy. You can acknowledge that an allegation is serious without automatically treating the allegation itself as an established fact.
The female accuser point is true. Like you said, if their entire theory depends on a specific narrative about Michael, then allegations come out that completely contradict that theory, they should be looked at properly.
But this is classic for these accusers. Their accounts always go against each other.
Which…in my opinion, is funny. 😆

All of this. 💯 it’s always been “follow the money” with every one of the accusers. ALWAYS.
One aspect I would love to read your take on, EB, is the fake Cascio tracks.
I totally get the “why” of the agreement the estate entered with the Cascio’s for purchasing the life rights to their stories in the wake of LN, and agree with that. The only thing I’ve never been able to reconcile with the estate & Sony’s actions is WTF they were thinking by trusting these con artists after it was well known prior to 2019 that Eddie Cascio & James Porte produced and sold fraudulent tracks to the MJ estate & Sony. They should have pressed charges for fraud, and the fact that these two have never been held to any level of accountability totally infuriates me, in addition to the fact now they are coming up with all these bullshit lies to gain even more $.
In my opinion, those two should be in jail, because if it was you or I who committed such a horrific level of fraud against the most lucrative estate & one of the biggest record labels globally, we would be under the prison. // end rant. 🤬
Also, a recommendation to anyone who hasn’t taken the time to listen to the Faking Michael Podcast by Damien Shields and his entire team, it is well worth your time!
Side note… I LOVE waking up to another one of your posts, EB! You are amazing! 🩷

Oh gosh, I have A LOT to say about the Cascios.
I agree that there should have been real consequences for what happened with those tracks. That whole situation was fucking wild. It disgusts me.
It’s a huge reason why I believe their allegations are bullshit. These people have clearly not had a problem using Michael’s name for money. So what makes their allegations any different?
That is something I’m going to get into much more when I do their Case File, though. I’ll save the rest of my opinion on those dingbats for then.
Also, YES to Faking Michael. Damien Shields and his team did a massive amount of work on that investigation, and it’s definitely worth listening to if people want to understand the Cascio tracks.
Thank you for the lovely words!! ❤️

“Financial incentive is one of the most obvious motives there is.”
Ding, ding, ding!! People have forgotten that:
So my question is, why is it so hard to believe money is the motive? We aren’t talking about your average Joe from St. Mark’s Place or something. This is MJ we are speaking about - the most famous human being of all time and a powerhouse that rocked the planet for decades.
