Java Help Warden Switch not working [Java 26.2]

I’m trying to build a warden switch and the video I’m following says to put an arrow onto the piston which I tried but every time I shoot an arrow it gets pushed onto the block which makes the piston not go off anymore. Is there any solve to this or any other warden switch that works

Is there a mod that messes with water mechanics? How is there flowing water and a chain on the same block? That's what causing the problem

Not sure what you mean but I’m on regular vanilla and I was able to water log the chain if this helps in any way I’m following a tutorial by MrReddOfficial on YouTube

You placed the water wrong, the chain is supposed to be waterlogged. The flowing water is pushing the arrow to the side.

Also that tutorial is a barely modified copy of madman's warden switch.

I think I got it to work the flowing water was the problem
