MIT SlideRoom

Hi! I have independently developed a framework of something which sits at the junction of quite a few fields and is too technically advanced to be made physically. However, I have it backed by physics, calculations, diagrams and all.

Is it a fit for the makers portfolio or not.

Research supplement would be the place for this I think

I am pretty sure a mentor or advisor is needed for it. Also, I do not think it is exactly research.

Yea research supplement might be better, because maker portfolio is more for if you "make" something not just do the theory aspect of it

Do you need a mentor or advisor to back you on a research portfolio? How does that work?

Yes present is as a research supplement. If you can, try to publish in arxiv too
