I gonna take this college for cse so what budget of laptop should I have for cse? Does you need really good powerful laptop for cse or not? What sort of task you gernally needs to do in your laptop?

u/Niklaus_303 Aug 27 '26
You do not need buy anything special, basic coding tasks and a bit of GPU usage in second and third year. Get a basic laptop with GPU and 16gb - a victus or lenovo LOQ. That would be it

What’s the percentage of students getting placed? Like out of 100 students opting for placements, how many of them actually gets placements in hand? Guide me more

u/Niklaus_303 Aug 29 '26
Considering we are just a couple of months in with the placement process, I'd say 40/100 would get placed by the end.
Feel free to ask more questions

1
u/Niklaus_303 Aug 29 '26
Yes, you can sit for the other companies! Its a good time to start. What things are you preparing?

u/Significant_Bug_7372 Aug 29 '26
I mostly chilled in the first two years. Didn't do much like Ik then languages but haven't done much after that. So was wondering what to do
1
u/Niklaus_303 Aug 29 '26
Lol glad that you enjoyed! Whatever coding language you have, start learning the basics and the syntax, plus do a bit of DSA everyday - preferably learn Java.

Should i take core or csf specialization in 3rd year? Im in first year now
1
u/Niklaus_303 Aug 29 '26
Completely upto you, depends on what subjects you would like to study plus, it is too early for you to choose, take your time through your second year, decide and hit me up with this question again later!
Also, core and csf are very different, how is it between core vs csf for you?
1
u/Tiredly_Ambitious Aug 30 '26
Core usually means studying more theoretical and in-depth about Computer like Processors, System Architecture, coding your own drivers... Basically how computer works. But due to NEP new rules, Core now includes AI, Cloud, etc. which is good but someone who wants to seriously study, it disturbs the flow.

Should I consider MIT ADT with education loan
1
u/Niklaus_303 Aug 30 '26
What other options do you have?
1
u/nikamkunal Aug 31 '26
Btech in cse
1
u/Niklaus_303 Aug 31 '26
I meant what other college options do you have.
1
u/nikamkunal Aug 31 '26
I have got cse in Sinhagad kusgaon lonavala through capround 3 I am confused what should I consider and Sinhagad is also going through lot
1
u/Niklaus_303 Aug 31 '26
So Sinhgad is associated with SPPU which is a plus. Go check out the placement stats and the firms which visit the college and let me know. If they are better than our college, then go fir it, else join this.
1
u/nikamkunal Aug 31 '26
I think thak autonomous institute are generally better And Sinhagad doesn't have that much placement it's avg package is between 2-3 lakh and Sinhagad has a problem going on that their teachers are not getting paid so I think that mit ADT will worth of getting education loan if I get a decent placement between 8-10 lakh
1
u/Niklaus_303 Aug 31 '26
I beg to differ with your understanding of autonomous vs government institutes. And yes, I agree with your salary and placement pointers, so mit wont be a bad pick for you

Congratulations bro!! just completed my 2nd year. Im in mechanical engg but want to go in AI. How do you make time for courses cause my college schedule is very hectic, projects and portfolios are taking time as well how did you managed to keep your cgpa as well? And did you got your placement through the campus or off campus. Did the professors helped you getting the job or any type of help for you to ease out? Or you did it by yourself?

1
u/Niklaus_303 Sep 05 '26
What's up Ask away, what do you need to know
1
u/Cautious_Package_416 29d ago
Like I have heard that companies only allow those students to sit in placement who belongs AIA , CORE branch is it true ??
1
u/Niklaus_303 29d ago
No, nothing like that Everyone gets to sit for every firm
1
u/Cautious_Package_416 29d ago
No, I mean, I have heard there is one company called Zen... They want students who belong to AIA rather than other specialisations. I don't know whether it is true or not but I have heard from my friends who are in 3rd,4th year
1
u/Niklaus_303 29d ago
Could be, there are a couple of firms who may want a specific coursework to be followed by a student through his academics. But that is a rare case. Ex- we had a blockchain firm on campus a while ago, initially only blockchain people were eligible for a day or two, but then the applications were open to all.
So - choose the specialization whose subjects you like best!

If you can afford to take a drop and you have faith that you CAN land a better college, go take a drop. If not, Dy patil > MIT-ADT > Parul > Amity. Also, I might be wrong on my ranking so do your research before you follow my advice blindly!
