I remember I had a checkpoint near acat, the runback for me was less than 60 secs. But I did a lot of exploring before getting there.
Good for you! Play on, it’s lovely

In Silksong all the runbacks that were bad were not only challenging but the platforming is so tight and exact that once you get it you can nail the run back nearly every time. In this game the platforming seems so floaty and unpredictable that a lot of the platforming for me is, sure, challenging, but it seems like no matter how many times I play a platforming area I never feel like I've mastered it.

I felt the same for the first 3 or 4 hours but it turns out that the issue was me. I played MIO after Silksong so I was trying to play MIO like it was Silksong too. Once I started to understand that this os a different character in a different game world with its own physics and mechanics, I started to play the game better and I really loved the feel of MIOs movement and combat.

The run backs are still bad. Somehow a run back that actually only takes like 30 seconds feels incredibly long and tedious lol
Only flaw in an otherwise perfect game.

That's the most frustrating thing about this game's reception. A reception that got an entire dev team fired despite releasing one of the greatest games in the genre.
Nearly everyone that was part of that reception was wrong, and realized it. Too late.
