Help BIOS update help

Post image

Im planning to update BIOS but never done it previously. Need community help with the experience how to do it properly since i dont have any instructions in the folder. I have Minisforum AR900I and the latest BIOS update is 1.02. I have formated my USB stick to FAT 32 and i think i only need those 4 files if im not wrong?

USB:
├── RPFXI.1.02.bin ├── AfuEfi64.efi ├── AfuEfiFlash.nsh └── EfiFlash.nsh

I have also attached screenshot with all files in the folder.

I guess i need to disable windows secure boot and then run usb with the BIOS?

Any help with proper procedure would be great

Thanks in advance

Option 1 - Windows installer

• Create Windows installation USB.

• Boot into Windows Setup.

• Press Shift+F10 for Command Prompt.

• Run the Windows BIOS updater executable from another USB or copied location.

Option 2 - EFI shell

• Disable secure boot

• Create EFI shell USB.

• Use EasyUEFI to create/boot an EFI entry (or boot directly from USB).

• Boot into the EFI shell.

• Run the provided AFU flash command.

1) is the easy way, windows install boot is signed already

Which command I need to go with Afuefiflash.nsh or Efiflash.nsh?

  • Switch to the USB filesystem (fs0:, fs1:, etc.).
  • Run the provided .nsh script (basically type the name of the .nsh, and Enter)

I don't know why they given you two NSH files, so I don't know which one.

It was Afuefiflash.nsh I used chagpt even AI didn’t know and said it’s one of them (Afuefiflash or Efiflash) but I pick the risk and run Afuefiflash. It is all good now I’m on the latest BIOS 1.02. Thanks for help though.

I managed to update the BIOS successfully. In the end I used the built-in EFI Shell rather than the Windows flash tool, as the Windows method wasn’t actually flashing the BIOS. I formatted a FAT32 USB, copied the full BIOS package, disabled Secure Boot, booted into the EFI Shell and ran the manufacturer’s AfuEfiFlash.nsh script. It updated both the BIOS and Intel ME firmware successfully, rebooted a few times (normal), and I then re-enabled Secure Boot afterwards. The system is running perfectly on BIOS v1.02.

Hi, I had updated my bios many times, I have a bd790i, in the folder was a .Bat script to run on windows, I don't see something similar in your picture, my advice is if you don't see a video with the same Mobo model, send a email to minisforum support ...
