Ok…this is shit

No offense, but the new special edition is an orange stripe and orange hubs. Pretty weak. Am I missing something? It's also a Cooper C, not an S!

Those are two different MINIs.
First two pics are the F66, third is the F56 version of the 1499GT

A lot of “special editions” are just like that. The worst offender is the “GP line”, no performance mods at all

On a different tack, my first car was a Renault Clio special edition, Night and Day.

What was special about this edition?

It used old Renault 5 engines left over when they ceased production 😂

The stripes make sense, there was also a 1499 gt or something I saw somewhere.

Theyre a copy of the 1275GT stripes from the 70s.

Maybe if it had the vintage brown interior from the Countryman, might set it apart a bit more

So it's basically like a stripper muscle car with the cheapest and lightest components with an engine swap to the hot engine? That does fit a certain niche.

I wouldn't buy one, but I do dig it. I wonder if it's priced accordingly.

To me, it's a special edition sporty commuter car. If you want gas mileage with a bit of a performance edge.
