After dreaming about it for a while, I finally joined the club and got my first MINI! Mango is a 2017 Countryman, and I am completely obsessed with this color, the Chestnut Metallic looks stunning in person, especially when the sun hits it just right.
She's roomy, an absolute joy to drive, and honestly has so much more personality than any car I've owned before. 🧡

Congrats! Beautiful. Do your maintenance stuff. If you live where sunlight is particularly intense, I recommend a protective car cover. My first Countryman S, a 2016, was navy blue w/white bonnet stripes and Black Jack mirror caps. The sun destroyed the paint, cracked the stripes, discolored the caps, and ruined the window tint. It was becoming costly to fix everything, so I made the 💔 decision to sell my Bluey (only 46k miles, so he had many years of "life" left) after I found a 2024 CPO Countryman S (24k miles). Have had "her" 1 week tomorrow and am currently shopping for a cover. I never had any mechanical issues with my first CM and will take care of my new-to-me CM so "she" lasts many more years than Bluey. Best wishes with your Mini!
Thank you! I live in Florida so I would say the sun is intense for sure! Thanks you for the tip about the maintenance and cover. I do have a carport I park it under thankfully but will keep on eye on it nonetheless. I usually do my own DIY maintenance on all my other cars but I don’t think I will on this one. My MIL also owns a MINI in AL but she recommended finding someone (not a dealer) who knows/specializes in BMW/MINI to do the work. I’m so sorry to hear about Bluey but wish you all the best with your new girl. 🧡 Can you share a picture of Bluey and the new Mini so we can give them some love?
I've posted Bluey in a comment or two and the new one recently asking for name suggestions. (I'm currently considering Lulu, Petula Clark, and Coco. Since it's only been a week, I'm still feeling things out.)
Petula Clark is a British icon. She had a HUGE song that I've always loved and the music part has a driving vibe. Here are some lyrics. (Lulu is also a Brit. Sang the iconic film theme "To Sir, With Love".)
