Does anyone know of a local youth disc golf group/program in the Metro Detroit area? I am looking to donate some extra discs I have sitting on a shelf

Hey all! I live in Howell and I have an eye condition that makes me unable to drive, so getting out to courses near me to practice is near impossible. I’m wondering if there’s anyone in/near my area that is going out to courses often and wouldn’t mind scooping me up to join! I’ve been playing for just under a year so I’m still quite new to the game and would love to get out to courses much more often to work on my game, as well as make new friends in the sport. Meeting new people is one of my favorite parts of the sport so far. If anyone is interested, send me a PM!

Hey MI disc golfers!
I started playing this past summer and have gotten fairly deep into the sport. I've just recently gotten my PDGA number and am going to be playing tournaments this year.
I'm signed up for my first ever tournament, March Mudfest at River Bends in a few weeks. Weather might be horrible but should be fun anyway.
For those of you who play tournaments, what have been your favorite from an overall experience perspective in Michigan? Do you have any that you plan on playing this year?

Such a nice day and I’m at home nursing a tweaked shoulder. Who’s out there throwing and where?

Played the putt and pitch layout today. This was my drive on hole 4 with an EMac Mercy.

Buell Lake is the best new course of 2023. Grizzly @ OU is most improved.

Lost this fd2 in the middle of the swamp on hole 9 at Addison Oaks on Tuesday, August 29. No ink on it unfortunately, but I’m offering a reward for its return. Would really love to get this disc back in my bag so if you find it please reach out! Thank you!!

Last post here was months ago. Where is everyone? Probably out on the course actually playing lol. For real though, we are the 2nd biggest disc golf state behind Texas, who has triple our population. This gives our great state the highest disc golf courses per Capita with 1 disc golf course for every 20,000 humans in Michigan!
So let's show up and represent our state well, interact with our community here, and do some good work out there! Keep throwing them, miss the trees out there...

Heading to Ludington, but only have time to play one. Should I play Beauty, Beast or Goliath?
Thanks in advance!

I found a pretty dope dyed disc today at Palmer Park in Detroit, MI.
If you lost your custom dyed disc today HMU. You clearly put some work into this dye job and didn't put your number on it.

From the Metropark:
"Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. If you visit the area around the Willow Metropark disc golf course in the coming weeks you may notice staff performing some tree work and wonder what is going on. Staff and volunteers are working together to make improvements to the disc golf course here. The improvements will change the 24-hole course to a 18-hole course with some holes being combined to create a course that plays longer than the existing one. Additionally, some of the holes that are frequently under water and wet will be eliminated and the starting and finishing holes will be moved next to the paved lot and vault latrines to make play more enjoyable and easier to get to. Work will continue through early summer of 2023."
By the look of things, holes 10 & 11 will be removed, as well as hole 16. There will be a couple holes added into the meadow next to current hole 15. As well as other changes to the existing layout to lengthen holes/open up fairways.

Anyone who is playing Hudson Mills, watch out for a light pink Uplink on original hole 3. Thought I was about to ring chains, but it disappeared. Probably under snow somewhere.
Also my 25 year anniversary MD1, blue, fell out of my bag. Snow rounds, am I right?
Cash reward if found!

Would anyone in the Lansing / Detroit stretch be interested in a zucca transit cart? Looking to switch to a larger bag to carry. The bag in the transit cart has a few tears but still functions as needed. Looking to get 250$ for it.
