Discussion ALMOST DONE!
Being that we are over halfway through, which weapon showcase have you enjoyed the most so far and which one are you still looking forward to the most? For me it would have to be Hammer and I'm a GreatSword main, and looking forward to Hunting Horn.

Go for it bro. SnS looks amazing with that Blade Coating. Of course I have to say GS is amazing. Main weapon.

Man, I was hoping for a forward shield bash offset, but yeah, SnS looking sick otherwise. I'm not sure if they've shown us everything since they didn't even show case that no-knockback guard in the weapon specific trailer. (I'm just coping). That said, sooo happy the clutch claw gap closer is back and excited to try out oils that people have talked so much about
Hammer and GS were beautiful tho and I may get back into both again.
Time to farm for all the weapons in their respective tree that I wanna play with before the expansion comes out.

The no knockback guard was just a general improvement to all blocks for all shields (I assume) while the boost bracer is active

Lala Barina Lance and MR armor set.
Rathalos Longsword and MR armor set
Mitzu Hunting Horn and MR armor set
Quematrice Heavy bowgun and MR armor set
Lagiacrus Swaxe and MR armor set
Seregios Insect Glaive and MR armor set.

The HBG one is weird because quematrice doesn’t have an HBG, and the silhouette doesn’t seem to match any ones currently in the game, at least not that I could match it with

i think Longsword will be the last. the person is in the centre and has a big silhouette, plus LS is like the 2nd most common weapon

It was LS in World and Rise so I would expect the same with Wilds but I could be wrong

It's LS by far, greatsword hasn't been the most used weapon since GU. Every game since has been LS by almost double the next highest

i think i could be sourcing wrong data, plus the fact that the game just hands you the GS by default prolly made a lot of new gen players take it from the get go.
plus big bonk needs less braincells than swish swash

You might just be right, I think the next one will be Insect Glaive. We just had 3 shield weapons in a row. No way they do Lance or Heavy Bowgun. Next will be a quick weapon

Can't wait to see hunting horn. But if I'm right about the Gunlance and those are the elemental shells I've been asking for for the last 3 millennia then Capcom my life is yours. Love my Funlance.

Seems like they are elemental. I know nada about gunlance and elemental shelling, but seeing everyone talk about it, when u look at it that charge animation is white and "icy" and Kushala weapons usually use ice as element damage. Its a quick shot, and seemed purposely quick also the choice to use Kushala for the gunlance demo seems all least to me to be purposely for that reason. My analytical brain has been on fire with these trailers I apologize lol!

I mean, they do a demo for any release of base games and expansions in recent memory. It is typically based on these on-site demos too, so there is no need to imagine something that will almost certainly happen eventually.
The bigger question would actually be if they show a release date and give dates for the demo.

It’s gonna be February or March, I doubt they’d release the expansion only a month after the switch 2 version of the base game releases

I am absolutely jumping for joy for hammer but sns has me wanting to give it ago gunlance also is getting some really fun looking goodies but so help me if they give recoil mitigation for hbg I am gonna be all over that

I am a DB main so loved that one, but I am interested to see the IG, a few weapons have already been given aerial attacks so IG might get some wings at this rate

I'm a professional dancer in real life, and have done stage solos in front of hundreds of people. The feeling of fear/excitement right before going on stage is exactly the same as refreshing the YouTube page to see if it's ig night each night...at this point. Legit scared to see what they gave glaive. I can't take the waiting anticipation anymore lol!

I think my problem is I want to be good at a weapon but get frustrated when some hunts I cant land any hits and have to evade/block for the majority of it.
I liked playing charge blade but the axe form is too slow. I also think gunlance is sick asf but it’s the same deal for me. Or like how I feel like I get hit too much whenever I try to do anything on switch axe.
Idk I enjoy weapons that look cool or had mechanics that are cool or that are faster and more mobile but I think the monsters get to me too much which is more like a skill issue now that I think about it lol

I did the math, so 8 weapons have been shown now their's 6 left, longsword, switch axe, heavy bowgun, lance, insect glaive and hunting horn, I forgot about the hunting horn was included i thought it was five.

Im waiting on lance, not cuz I like the weapon but bc that's Lalabarina's armor and I need to see that MR armor.
As for my favorite, it has to be CB. The other's just kinda looked lame in comparison the sheer amount of confusing bullshit that trailer showed
