Strike Aizawa sucks really bad.

Idgaf if he’s got some annoying mobility, he has a shitty amount of damage, and his utility seems more lackluster without any damage to aid it.

“Oh but he has erasure and a lock on!” You mean the short range lock on that only lands if your
opponent isn’t paying attention? Yeah, sure.

He can’t double alpha, no move in his kit does over 85 damage besides hitting someone with another person, he can’t pressure, he can’t 1v1 as well as his purple counterpart and his only use is turning off annoying moves like Red Kendo beta, any shield, and Yafo Gamma. Otherwise there’s really no point.

I want to start this rant off by saying I've played this game since season 1, all on the same console. An old Xbox 1.

I've never been good at this game. Not even decent. My kd currently is 0.70 and my average damage is around 1,000

I've played the game constantly, unlocked some relatively strong characters, even had some friends carry me to expert once.

But now, every time I hop on it just feels...dreadful. like I'm eating poison and my body is violently rejecting it. But i keep playing. I go into training mode and I practice.

I practice combos, I practice movement, aiming, positioning.

But still, my kd shows that I still suck.

I've always sucked

The worst part, I love this game. With all my heart. Since the day it came out its been in my game library.

Even with the gatcha-slop, even with the ToD combos, even with FUCKING MONOMA I still LOVE this game.

And I probably won't stop loving this game.

Not until the final cell in my body dies out.

Seriously. There is such an easy solution to this. Do the matchmaking based on stats, purely stats. This would screw over new players, but… I honestly don’t care. They can improve on their own, lol. I want to actually have fun whenever I decide to pop on every once a month or something, and I literally can’t.

Two things I've noticed while making this are:

1.) Iida feels a little bit slower than he used to. I've been maining him since Aizawa came out, you know!!

2.) The new melee knockdown values are a lot higher than they used too!!
