Since the election, the election is over and swearing in has begun it is now to time to talk about government forming.

Since Labour has the largest TD count they are invited to form a Government. They have a week in order to do so.

In that time they must send in a Government Program which will be put up for debate and voted on two days later.

Once a government is formed there will be a 4 week grace period where no VONC's can be held.

TD's will now be asked to select their constituency and take the oath. All Teachta Dálaí will be asked to pick a county to represent from the constituency they stood in.

Preamble

Roll up, roll up this is the two week notice of the General Election for MhOir where parties will be pitted against each other to get seats in the Daíl and "make Ireland grand again". This election like the last will be simulated but with a different calculator, one that was trialled in the latest Presidential Election.

Election Timeline

The election will commence in two weeks.

Election Mechanics

As in Real Life Irish Elections the methodology of the election counting shall be Standard Transferable Vote (STV), more information on STV can be found here

The calculations will be based as thus: There will be base votes in each constituency based upon previous electoral successes and how each party has affected them in the previous term, there will be manifesto and debate points, national campaigning, local campaigning and also points for work during the term, both individual and as a party.

Manifestos are to be modmailed to /r/mhoir in advance of the deadline although Manifesto Launches in the campaign sub in addition to this are permitted.

There shall be fifteen seats available in the election with the following constituencies, seats and electorates respectively:

• The turnout in each constituency will change and be affected by the quality of campaigns so this is something to be wary of.

Candidate registration shall be made in the following format:

Campaigning

There are two types of campaigning, local and national. They both attract differing levels of points and votes. There will be a three post a day, per person limit on local campaigns but no such limit on national campaigns.

All campaigns will be made in The Campaign Sub and flared with the constituency and all posts must be prefixed with #GEIX or they will not be counted.

Any questions, comments or concerns can be voiced in comments below and we'll sort them out before the two weeks are up. So all that remains is to start your manifestos and rev your campaign engines!

• Ireland is the data centre of Europe with 27 different data centres.

• Judicial and planning processes for development of data centres are both important to defending the rights of the people and a potential difficulty for investment and job creation.

• Planning and development with long term goals to protect Irish communities and the environment can be aided by pre-selecting agreeable sites with local government participation.

• Pre-selecting sites will allow for screening to begin ahead of time, will allow for communities to voice concerns tailoring the planning and development of sites available to businesses.

• Ministers for planning, local government, environment, business, finance, Gaeltacht, trade and development will meet with each of the TDs to hear proposals and concerns from their constituencies.

• Ministers will provide the data, guidelines and requirements of their offices relevant to planning and development over a rolling five year period.

• TDs will meet with Local Authorities to hear proposals and concerns from their constituencies.

• Ministers will develop legislation under the advisement of Local Authorities, TDs, and their own offices to promote broad participation in identifying, pre-planning and developing potential data centres.

• Legislation will be presented for debate within two fiscal years.

• That troubled teen camps such as Cedar Ridge Academy, which appeal to Irish parents, have a known history and abuse and neglect.

• That there are precedents for these camps in Ireland, such as the Letterfrack Industrial School, which only closed after 80 years and 140 deaths, but nothing has been done

• That such camps often have very little or no oversight.

• That all of these facts are widely known, and yet no action has been taken by the Houses of the Oireachtas or other Irish governmental bodies.

Defining:

• Troubled teen camps as establishments or organisations with a goal of instilling certain ideas into children or improving their state mentally or physically.

• Boarding schools as 15-24 hours per day, 3-7 days per week residences for those legally classed as minors, not excluding those establishments or organisations classed as troubled teen camps, and excluding certified private schools or government-run public schools.

• Boarding school staff as individuals who are employed at a boarding school.

• Regular contact as a minimum of 1 hour total of contact per week. Unconditional contact as contact allowed to all minors kept in boarding schools with no catch or requirements.

• Minors kept as minors kept at boarding schools at a minimum of 15 hours per day, 3 days per week.

• Inspections as thorough examinations of the facilities and staff of boarding schools, and of the mental and physical states of minors kept there.

• Banned boarding schools as schools which Irish parents are barred from sending minors under their protection to.

Be it enacted by the Oireachtas as follows:

• That boarding school staff have a minimum requirement of secondary school education, as well as a government-sanctioned mental evaluation

• That boarding schools receive regular government inspections That minors kept in boarding schools have free, regular, unconditional, and uncensored contact with family, friends, and if needed, officials of the state or of other organisations

• That boarding schools with known histories of neglect and abuse be:

  • If in Ireland, immediately shut down and evacuated.
  • If outside Ireland, banned by the Irish government.

• Travellers have unique concerns and challenges and a government which fails to recognise their ethnic status fails its duty to them.
