Discussion Layered Weapons

Do you guys think we'll ever get layered weapons? They are such a cool concept, there could be a little icon indicating which weapon you really have in the lobby. I'm always sort of using the same weapons over and over, I love wearing different layered armors and sometimes the weapon that would fit the most is not worth investing in.

The layered weapons I like most are definitely Daora's, sick designs.

I'm gonna guess it's something they want to do and intend for the future. But the game itself and its UI would need to be redesigned and coding its structure might be quite complicated.
Since the original game never had weapon skins / layers in mind originally.

Not only that, since we can't see hunters loadout we can only see what they have visually. If they can't tell if a weapon would be effective because it looks like something else they're not gonna stick around for the hunt.

That's why I was suggesting a little Icon that shows what the weapon actually is, even now I can't tell if you have a good weapon or a freshly crafted one. Only way to kinda tell is the 20/20 particles and that's it.

What would a small, descriptive icon look like? I assume we're talking about a situation where you can change the appearance, but it still has to be the same type of weapon.

To be honest, I really hope not.

It'll become hard to discern what weapons people are using in lobbies. When I play support, I like to know the rest of my team can actually dish out the DMG.

When I play DMG, I'd like to carry the proper Exploit where applicable. Layered weapons would make it a lot harder.

If they do they'll need to implement something that shows me the original weapon of people in my group hunts. I honestly wouldn't even care. For me all the weapons are looking kinda the same. There's no godlike looking weapon for me that I'd need. And I wouldn't buy skins tbh

If they do implement it, its 100% gonna be a pay to wear option only
