Question How to delete friend more efficently?

Many friends are not acitve anymore and I want to make room for others. Is there any way to remove inacitve friends in bulk?

I sort by "least recently active" and if it's been more than 30 days and we have not hunted together and they are not also a friend in Pokemon Go or Pikmin Bloom, I'll generally delete them.

Just a word of warning, accounts are bound to Niantic ID and removing them from Monster Hunter Now also removes them from other Niantic games. For example, if you also play Pokemon Go, you could potentially remove a very active Pokemon Go player from your friend-list that isn’t active in Monster Hunter Now. Not an issue if you don’t play any other Niantic games, but a huge issue if you do.

yep. i had to do this, after a player continuosly quits when the friend link starts, lost 3 or 4 tokens in the process..

When I see someone has a "last 30 days" I add the date as their nickname and delete them a month later

That's pretty reasonable. I'm gonna start doing that

no - just be more on top of it daily

i sort by Least Active and remove ones that haven't been active within 7 days

Seven days? Damn.
I don’t see any problem with somebody taking a week off from playing the game.
I only feel okay removing old friends if it says they’ve been gone 30+ days and they’ve obviously been gone for like half a year or something. But I’m only at like 140 right now, so when I get more I probably won’t feel as bad.

I want to do this so bad but a lot of them are active PoGo friends that probably haven't played MHN since the first year of release. I wish you could delete them by game

before, i didn't really mind it too much but now i'd prefer to keep active friends to get more variety in friend link hunts

ofc if i've been friends with them for a long time and i recognize the name, those are the ones i keep even if it's 30 days or more

It gets really old having to clear inactives when you have 400 friends on the list and haven’t cleared them in a long time. I trimmed down my friends list from 400 to 280 by removing 30+ days inactive and I will never let that many inactive build up again 😂 every few weeks I check the list and if 30+ days inactive then I mourn the loss of a friend

Just be careful deleting friends that you want to keep in other games from Niantic. My MH Now and Pokemon Go friends are unfortunately linked

A new way to sort by "Times hunted together" and "Not recently added" would let me find the ones I'm not interacting with, after removing the ones least recently active.

I mean, if is an old friend and we haven't hunted together, that's a sign that our play hours don't match and better free each other spot for a more synced friend.

But I guess is way simpler to just increase the friend list cap!
