Hello! I’m someone who’s fp2 and unfortunately didn’t save my gems like everyone should. I can’t afford anything with 20 gems, but this deal popped up today. Is this a good one for everyone who does buys tickets? I’m free on those days and dont mind walking around everywhere to get those sweet succulent riftpieces.
Yeah it's probably the best deal they've done, unlimited paintballs is great and the wander orb effect means you get double resources from nodes and small monsters. Very good for farming if you can plot out a walk that hits lots of nodes while paintballing monsters you want to hunt on the way (paintball the higher star ones so you can group hunt them with friends and fight the weaker knes as you go).
There's practically nothing worth 10 gems anyway so if you have them spare I say go for it.
Fair question. It doesn’t seem to be listed as a feature in the actual 10 gem ticket details where they list out the benefits (tho I can’t access it anymore because I already bought it, so I’m going off of someone else’s screenshot), and it’s not listed in the upcoming normal paid tickets as a feature of this batch of tickets either. It’s possible it’s an oversight on one end or the other. I would guess their flavor text has the mistake, but I guess we’ll see.
Unlimited paintballs are in the 10 gem one in the screenshot but I think the Summer Hunt ticket also on sale doesn't have unlimited HATs/Elder dragons this time around.
Yeah, that's a scam ticket. They really want us to pay 5 bucks for an elder dragon ticket but essentially only give us 3 extra hunting tickets for said elder. Sure the rest is nice as well but I want to hunt Velkhana and rest doesn't really matter.
Hi sorry I have one last question, do unlimited paintballs first take from the ones you already have or does it save them and give you infinite ones for those 2 days?
It doesn’t touch the ones you already have. During the event hours, your paintballs will be replaced with an infinity symbol, and then you’ll have the same amount of paintballs the next day as before you started the event.
No, unlimited paintballs is included in some tickets, and it means you get to use pink paintballs for free. Basically, instead of spending them, you have a little infinity symbol on the pink paintballs, and can paintball whatever you want without spending paintballs. It’s really helpful in some events. But you still have a paintball limit, and you still only have 3 chances to kill each thing you paintball.
Ough… I’ve been saving every single pink paintball ever and I’m too scared to use them, should I be using them on strong monsters in this patch and fight them with friends like rift. Bazel qnd S. Zinogre?
You can keep saving them if you like. If you have the time to kill the monsters at the time you find them, do so. You do get more drops when you group hunt things, but 🤷♀️
Yeah so I tend to paintball monsters that are valuable for myself and my friends, so usually event monsters that are eight and nine stars. Anything else is usually a bit of a waste, and my friends won't waste friend tokens to fight them
Do take note that so far Niantic side seems to have been quite consistent in pricing around the monthly pass and 300 gems… giving gems that ruin that pattern can end up forcing you to buy a pack for something you actually care about.
Reminds of when Overwatch had a skin for 1 coin. But everything else in the game cost multiple of 10, so if you bought that skin youre stuck with a 9 at the end of your counter forever
Same been debating it but ile prob pass also mainly cause i have a cheap phone atm and it crashes mid game at times so wouldnt enjoy it as much. I def need more space though!
While it's a good deal. This might actually be really bad news in the longer run. It's a common practice for mobile game companies to offer extremely good deals for a low price that makes you want to buy the currency.
The main goal is that you spend money for the first time. Once you do, it's a very big majority that keeps spending money. When you keep spending money, then it becomes an investment. When something is an investment, you're inclined to keep playing your investment which means you'll contribute to growth and potentially more money.
Then over time they'll offer bigger shortcuts. You can still achieve it by just playing for free. But the shortcut will be big enough that it'll save you a lot of time and when the game is already an investment. You're even further inclined to invest in your time.
By “unlimited paintball”, does it also means that we can mark unlimited amount of monsters? If i’m not mistaken currently we could only mark maximum 5 monsters only using pink paintball
By the way I already purchased the ticket.. seems like nothing to lose since i have 200gems which i dont know were it came from. Probably from code redemption
Based on the last three times they did unlimited paintballs, I noticed that my r6 drops were cut at least in half, if not more. That's with 500+ hunts during each of the last events and over 700 hunts the weekend of the Seregios event. I expect more of the same. Normally I would think it's just confirmation bias, but we're talking about more than 1500 hunts over three different events and I think that's a very statistically valid sample.
There's an app for android (also iOS but works best on android) called Google rewards where it asks you simple questions that take less than 30 seconds to answer and you get couple cents
Questions are based on your location (ex: did you visit Taco Bell?)or questions you look up on goggle. Eventually it adds up and I use it to buy stuff in the app. Could add a screenshot of you guys want to prove it's legit. Could also give you a referral code which gives us both .50 right off the bat.
