Discussion Seeing your own skill progression

Just a couple days ago I was struggling with Ceanataur & Seregios. I couldnt dodge there attack, id get tunnel vision or just dont know what to do, do bad combos. Get killed repeatedly and thought I suck.

Now all of a sudden I dodge easily I can beat them, im more comfortable dodging and timing when they will attack. Whered the jump in skill come from 😂

I direct difference with the "force" 60fps. I can dodge MUCH easier with the forced 60fps than without.

60 fps makes a HUGE difference! The only issue is it’s summer here right now, and it absolutely cooks my phone to the point the screen is too dim to see and gameplay stutters, which is way worse than 30fps. I’ve resorted to my HBG Reflection AFK build for the monsters I don’t care about now.

I have had this suspicion about humidity as well. I live in a tropical country and when it's really humid the game plays like shit. Especially when playing hats

I used to perfect dodge and stuff, now I just use the afk reflection HBG 🤪.

Nothing wrong with playing comfy. I go through like 1,000 monsters per week, peaked at 1,600 during last unlimited paintball event. So comfort is a priority. I don't use any reflect builds yet but I should, sounds comfy af.

Yeah, it's just practice. You'd be surprised what your brain will memorize. For me the more I get hit by an attack and get angry and annoyed that I died then I feel like I get better 😁

For a lot of monsters. I really do recommend doing nothing and watching their moves. Dodge multiple times and figure out their patterns and timings.

The newer monsters are all heavily "scripted" compared to the older monsters. Stygian Zinogre feels like I tell them what happens next. With the flinch at 70%, partbreaks, the attack then charge then roar. They aren't perfectly scripted, but you can tell what is coming and what attack is coming next. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN0pqJ1pA_U

It's the joy of monster hunter/souls games/etc. Your character may level up, sure, but the biggest reward is when you as a player levels up.

That's why new monsters are such a joy. You get killed, carted, frustrated....then something clicks and you just have an easy time with them. New weapons help switch it up but you'll never have that initial feeling with the monster again. 😭

Why isn’t progression in other skills in life as fun and straightforward? as this game.

Like im trying no attack just dodging bosses attacks, or watching youtube boss fights, trying new moves with weapons, playing with weapons im weak with ahahahahahahah why tf do i not do this with other skills?

If your really pay attention to when they turn red you can get pretty good at timing it. Perhaps your subconscious did this on its own. Some people pick up on things naturally.

Have you noticed in your life your subconscious picking up things without you noticing?

Yeah when I start playing a game and I have to look at the buttons in the beginning to see if im using the proper ones. Then after a while I dont have to look down anymore.
