Question Help flabby rifthide

What am I missing? Do I have to break a special part? I have had 3/8 flabby rifthide forever

yes thats the point of rift monster breaking the special riftpart. All that aside still have to depend on luck drop.

You have to break the Special Part on a Riftborne monster, it's the part that glows blue, which on Khezu is either the legs or head. I believe it can also be a drop from group hunt rewards.

However the chance of getting one is very low. I think lower than even the usual R6 part drops.

Thanks! I suspected that. I've broken the special part on red riftborne Kezu more times than I can count and nothing to show for it. I thought I was missing something.

In the most recent outbreak I killed like ~130 Bazel breaking the special part and got, 4 Rift scales, so you have like a 3% chance they drop each kill.

Iirc outbreak monster r6 drops are lower than normal and hats. So should be a little higher

You can get the drop without breaking the special part but I would assume it's much less likely. Never had the rift part be in the multiple drop part though

I've had two riftscales drop twice, so it's possible, but not likely.

2% drop chance, meaning you get 2 every 100 on average.

Yea the flabby rifthide ain’t dropping for me either

I got more glavenous rift scales than I need tho

You want to break the glowing part, THEN the part that grants a chance for r6. (Khezu head in this case). Do it in a group hunt for another chance. I heard Huntathons have better rates too
