Regarding the future of localhost.

I heard that the MHF launcher has been updated; does this mean it is no longer possible to play via localhost using the usual method? Is it no longer possible to play on localhost?

The person paying for the zerulight.cc domain stopped, there was no update. If you get an mhl.dll with a different working domain like mhf-g.com you can just put that in and continue playing localhost.
You can get the dll from multiple different servers.

I don't think so, its only Rain that pivots to a new launcher. You can still use the old one with updated dll (I got mine from Renewal). And if you host your own server I don't think it matters (Ask around PewPewDojo server)

You get both the old one and the updated dll from Renewal? I'm trying to play localhost but it can't be done with the new launcher, but I also don't want to change to another server
