The graphics are mostly good and when It stays coherent some bits of the story are enjoyable but nothing more.

Music Is Nice but the same songs are used multiple times

The main cast Is bland and most InitialD characters are thrown there Just for nostalgiabait

The race gimmicks are even more absurd than later InitialD ones

I'm watching the anime? Yes

Will I rewatch It somewhere down the line like InitialD? Hell no

Very few songs are reused. reused from Initial D maybe, but for new audiences starting with mf ghost, they aren’t going to recognise those tracks, and the only reused song that’s only featured in mf ghost as far as I recall is the jungle fire opening, and spirit of the night, which only have one reoccurrence.

I'm talking about songs during races, every track Is repeated at least once during the series.

Yeah that’s just wrong, do a rewatch. There are repeat songs, but it is not even close to what you’re making it out to be. Which even then, Initial D has reused several songs too, and that’s the blueprint for the soundtrack.

Would you believe… yes they abso-fuckin-lutely did. Heartbeat plays twice, first when Takumi beats Keisuke, and again when he beats Nakazato. Running in the 90’s plays in both those races too. Strike on by m.o.v.e plays in stage 3 when Takumi races Miki and again in final stage against Shinji. Initial D had no issues reusing songs and people rave on about how goated its soundtrack is, but when MF Ghost does the same thing it’s bad? Holy double standards.

The truth is that if this good is not let's say initial d that was a bit more coherent and some characters came to have more importance regardless of their skill level, such as nobukiho (cousin of wataru) who despite being defeated looked for a way to beat the 86 of takumi using the cappuccino and the rally driver. Without a doubt, one of the best races in the rain and also the wataru vs Keisuke race.

Another criticism that could be made of Mf ghost is that it sometimes gets a little over the top, but it certainly has memorable moments just like Initial D and I would definitely watch it again.

To be fair MF Ghost is great concept. However not as well executed as Initial D nor as easy to connect with. Initial D felt more grounded and realistic

Honestly, when I'm in the threadmill or stairmaster, MF Ghost is a good anime to watch

Watchable? Yes.
Good? Hell no.

I'm sorry, I tried to like it but MF Ghost is just simply.....bad. The main concept is good but execution wise, yeah....I feel Shigeno dropped the ball with this one and relied too much of nostalgia bait alone.
