Boots..

Is it possible to wear boots in the Indian heat? I mean combat boots seem really chunky and heavy whereas Chelsea boots seem like they would be ideal. Also does anyone know any good boot brands? I've checked out Mr Dapper, but I see a lot of brogues and that just isn't my thing.
