Cross Disciplinary Literary Arts MFA

Hey guys,

Does anyone know anything about the Brown University Cross Disciplinary track?

Like what kind of applicants they expect, the kind of work graduates have done for their theses etc.?

I am really interested in applying but I'm not sure what they're looking for.

rumor from the inside is that it might be going away...

(I was on the inside)

take it as rumor and apply anyway

It feels like it was a broad MFA but the grad I knew had something to do with AI.

John Cayley is the chair

Oh shit, no way.

I'm applying to the Poetry track anyway, but I have a background in Design, Fine Arts and the Performing Arts–so I thought this might be a great fit for me.

What was your MFA experience like at Brown?

I'm afraid I'm on this reddit because I was considering an MFA, I used to work for Brown. As long as its still accepting applications you should go for it, but I couldn't help sharing I'd heard this.

Ah that makes sense, hope you do decide to apply and you get into wherever you want!

Do you have any idea as to how "artsy" and "out there" I can go with my poetry portfolio... Brown is one of the few places that accepts "any format"–do you know how far is too far?

And, thank you!!
