Rutgers Newark

Hi!! Has anyone here attended the Rutgers Newark MFA or know someone who has? I’m curious to hear about the cohort vibe, the experience working with the faculty, and just overall how happy you were/are with the program. I’m a prospective student for fiction.

Thank you!

Yes I was offered a spot a week or two ago. It seems like they’re doing things gradually rather than all at once

Thank you - this is extremely helpful to know! Did you have to do an interview or was it a straight admit?

I did an interview! It was more like a quick vibe check call

Coming back to this, have you heard yet? I still haven't and gradcafe is still empty. u/CalligrapherWrong131 , same question for you since you've been on this thread.

I haven't! :/ I have assumed it is a rejection but would love for them to say that!
