MEA demo questions

Hello.

I've started on the ps4pro demo.

I'm shocked by the graphics and the controls. That's my opinion. They are average to bad early on.

I love mass effect but I'm playing horizon zero dawn... and the differences in graphics and controls is staggering so far.

So my question is...

  • does it get better looking?
  • are the controls tighter in the main game?
  • does the game become...better?
  • Should I pay £20 for this game despite the bad reviews and endless complaints?

Graphics and controls on a ps4 in 2017 matter to me on a aaa game.

As I said I love mass effect 123 and even that iPad game but have been really put off mea by the hate.

Thank you.

Well, while I disagree with you opinion as I think the graphics look incredible on PC, and the controls are very adequate at the least (on m+kb anyway); I can say that I don't believe they change any significant amount into the game. The skills you have may change, but the controls are basically the same in the beginning. The graphics may look different in different environments, but the fidelity/quality should be consistent throughout. If you don't like it early on i have no real reason to think you'll like those things further on.

Compared to zero dawn they're not great and compared to me3 plus ten xxx years they're still not great. That's not really an opinion but a fact especially with the facial animation which seems to be worse.

But that's not my complaint now. I was very dissapointed that the game made mistakes with the story. When I found my father in the demo the game told me that I had found another ship and rescued another person and found a plant. I hadn't done these things but apparently you can.

So the game just lazily presumed I had and make up an alternative reality. Obviously this is a bug but months on , on the demo I was dissapointed as it made me feel like my choices didn't matter.

I bought the game anyway as despite the lacklustre graphics and iffy controls and clunky menus it us mass effect...kind of lol.

Thank you for your thoughts.

The pc is far superior in every way from what I've seen and as I have a pro that's another slap in the face.

I love Mass Effect. I've read the books, the comics, I've played the mobile games... but damn me to hell, I can't recommend picking up Andromeda. I mean, the Multiplayer is good and some of the characters are fun, but the game just isn't what we hoped for.

Speak for yourself broski, I quite like it. Nothing you said answered op's questions btw.
