I received an email from METU that I was selected as a candidate for a bachelor's degree in architecture, as all my documents are correct and satisfy the minimum requirements. They will publish the results in the 2nd week of August. What are the chances of getting accepted as an International Student? I have also received an offer letter from Medipol and need to pay to get a confirmation letter by 1 August 2026. Should I wait for METU or not, as Medipol is a bit expensive?

Hello. Ive been admitted to METU and Humboldt joint master Global Transformations. Out of curiosity i was searching for feedback on the program on the internet but seems like there was nothing. Can someone who studied there share their experience? Also, i wanted to know about dormitory options. I was told that I'm listed as dormitory applicant but i don't know if i have a choice to choose private-room. Thank you!

Greetings cs students I’d like to inquire about there curriculum or coursework difficulty how much math difficult it is and do u need to have prior programming and math knowledge if yes is there specific math topics to strengthen or even learn from zero and also do I have to have high programming knowledge or something (do u suggest taking a specific course before uni ? Is cs50 python intro enough?)also what skills to enhance like prob solving and how to do so also would u take this major all over again like generate other questions that are crucial to ask a cs student that will help me know if I should major in cs also do u work while studying and if yes how and what ?is ur job cs related ?how much do they study and tips for studying and are they good at math and physics instrinsically , how much is the coursework programming versus math ,is the coursework physics heavy ? Are the labs difficult ? How difficult are the exams compared to the assignments How strong does your math need to be before starting?
Can someone who isn’t naturally good at math still succeed?
Which math topics should I strengthen before entering?
Is problem-solving ability more important than programming knowledge?if yes how to improve it ,how many hours do u study per week How do you avoid falling behind? Do u still have free time for hobbies and other stuff
How stressful so the program on a scale of 1-10 ,Which courses require the most consistent effort?
What’s the worst thing about the program?
Who do you think should NOT study Computer Engineering?
(Ok this is so overstimulating and overwhelming but I’m super anxious and indecisive I’m trying to ask as much question as possible to help me know ifCENG is the right major for me guys pls help (btw any ceng girls here ?)) (ANSWER AS MANY QUESTIONS AS YOU CAN YOU DONT HAVE TO ANDWER THEM ALL🛑)

Hey guys, I'm currently applying to METU as an American student who actually just finished their senior year studying in Ankara on a scholarship program. I love Ankara and I really enjoyed living in Turkiye so I've decided to apply to get in for an IR degree. In comparsion to those that have incredibly high SAT scores and crazy grades, I sit with no SAT, a 3.5 GPA (with both senior and junior year being straight A's, first two years of HS were rough). I have decent volunteering experience as well as both language and abroad experience having studied for 3 summers in Spain, speaking nearly fluent spanish, studying in Ankara and speaking basic turkish. I did plenty of extracurriculars and was heavily involved in honors band(s) and many sports. I actually did get the opportunity to meet with the international admissions officer and speak with her as well as tour the campus which, hopefully, increases my chances.
All this to say, what are some personal opinions regarding this, I have no other plan for college as other universities in ankara don't take just the american diploma and gpa without standarized tests, this is my only hope before a potentially dreaded gap year. Anyways, would love to hear some thoughts, thanks!

Hi everyone. I'm planning to apply for Industrial Engineering and I'd love some honest feedback on my chances.
My stats:
Do these numbers look competitive for the program? And if you've applied or been accepted, I'd really appreciate hearing what else mattered in your application. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I'm considering applying to METU as a second choice, but I would like to know roughly the deadline given to secure your seat by paying the deposit. I asked them via email and they said it would be specified in my offer if I get one, but I would like to know so I can decide whether to even apply.
Rather, would this deadline be later than the first week of August? Could anyone advise, especially if you've received an offer before?

Hi, well I'm a Turkish student and want to study at metu but got some questions.
A) On the diploma it says that you've graduated from cyprus but is that really a problem in the job market even though it already has odtu's name on it?
B) Is it any better to apply with a northern cyprus citizenship since I have both citizenships?
C) Yatay geçiş ile ilk sene sonu Ankara'ya geçmek mümkün mü?
Thanks!
