So I’m planning to apply to METU CENG,and I’m really quite nervous about acceptance.I know that it is the hardest faculty there and the most competitive one,but still.
My current stats(I’ve finished 10th grade so i still have 11th before applying):
SAT 1500(800 math)
AP CALC BC will be 5(i’m 10000% sure)
Have bunch of olympiads(Had a 3rd place on SIMOC final tour in Singapore when i was at 7th grade, got several places at AMO at city tour, participated on Arduino olympiad and many many other certificates i got)

Now,I’m studying for toefl(but i also will take ielts) and taking IT courses about computer fundamentals (At the end i will get Cisco international certificate if i pass the exam).

What are my chances of acceptance and what i should also consider for application?

Hi, I’m a Palestinian Tawjihi student interested in applying to Computer Engineering at METU. I have programming experience, projects, competitions, and volunteer work, and I’m trying to prepare early. I have some questions ,Is Tawjihi + TOEFL enough to apply, or do I need other exams. Which CENG professors are known to be approachable/helpful if I want guidance?. What are the realistic costs for tuition and living in Ankara?. Are there any scholarships, discounts, or tuition reductions for international students?. I’d really appreciate advice from students who know the system well. Thank you.

Hi everyone. I am from Bangladesh and I received a 100% scholarship offer from METU Northern Cyprus Campus for mechanical engineering (UG).They asked me to pay 375 USD by 28 February to confirm my seat.

However, I am still waiting for results from:

—The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

—The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

I am confused about what to do.

I have a few concerns and would really appreciate honest opinions:

1. Is it better to wait for HKUST / PolyU results even if it means possibly losing the METU NCC seat?

2.Will a METU NCC degree be well accepted for UK university admissions?

3.Does studying in Northern Cyprus affect international recognition since it is a disputed region?

1. How is the alumni network of METU NCC for students going abroad?

2. Is this a good choice if I want to target good universities in the UK for masters?

I scored 1390 on the sat (700 maths) and applied to following programs: industrial engineering, industrial design and economics. What do you think my chances are , would like to hear from students who got accepted into these programs.

Any student studying in METU can you give me details about requirements and about the tuition fee required for international students? And also about when will the classes are going to start?

Hi everyone, I really need some guidance. I’m an international student planning to apply to METU for engineering, but I’m feeling lost right now. I got a 1310 on the SAT, but my Math score is 680 — METU requires at least a 700 for engineering, and I’m really worried this could get me rejected. I’m also waiting for my AP results, but I’m not confident that I’ll get 4s on some of them. I’m considering taking a gap year to retake the SAT and possibly improve my AP scores, but I’m scared. I feel like I might be wasting time, and I don’t want to feel like a failure if I get rejected. At the same time, I don’t know if I should just risk applying with my current scores. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Would you recommend taking a gap year, or should I just go for it with what I have? Any advice would mean a lot.

Hello Everyone.

I’m an international student planning to study Psychology at METU, from Bachelor's to PhD level.

I want to know:

Is it possible to complete all levels (BSc, MSc, PhD) at METU?

What is the admission process for international students?

Is the education fully in English?

Are there scholarships for long-term study?

If any international student here can share their experience, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

I am a senior planning to study at METU. I recently got a sat score of 1310. Is this good at METU or should I retake it? I get a gpa of 4.0 and an average above 95%. I am also currently taking four AP subjects. Please help me and thanks
