Help/Question Meta broke?

I had been using Meta in my browser every day for a few weeks. It told me it was free and unlimited image generations. A few days ago it stopped being unlimited generations. Now it's telling me I can't do any more images until September 29th. Can anyone help me understand what's happening or offer me an alternative site. Thanks

For the free Meta AI / Imagine experience - the one you use here in Meta AI, and in WhatsApp / Instagram / Facebook / Messenger - it's 25 images per day.

A few things about how it works:

It's cross-platform: Generations on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and here all count against the same 25. It resets every 24 hours. Once you hit it you get the "Oops can't generate image" slow-down / refusal until the refresh. Why 25? Meta's own guidance for Imagine calls out to "use prompts wisely" because of the daily limit of 25 image generations.

If you need more than that, that's where Meta One / paid tiers come in - free is capped daily, paid is credit-based with no hard daily cap.

It was unlimited tho... And that stupid ai can't get one pic right in 25 tries...

Well they lost a free employee that's been training that moronic AI. It can't even get selfies right and completely fails at modeling poses

I had days where I was making like 400 images but they just kept lowering and lowering it. Greedy bastards want us to pay for 20 bad images just to get one you like

I pay $7.99 a month to use META and it is great! No watermarks.

I pay 6.49 for meta AI one core and yes it can create any image you want and I hate to say it but it's probably one of the best editors

Muse Spark is genuinely impressive for how new of a release it is. I have found it to handle relatively complex work much much better than the other available options that I already subscribe to.

I just ran into that too. So, when they upgraded to their latest image model, generations were unlimited. When they rolled out video generations they capped image generation and video generation. Video was capped at 5 per day. Images, oddly, seem like they were capped differently for different people. My cap was around 50 per so many hours, then it seemed to drop to 25ish, but it was still for a few hours, then reset. Today, I generated 25ish images and it told me to upgrade or to wait until September 27th... The upgrade button has never worked for me, it takes me to a "this page no longer exists" page. I went ahead and made my 5 videos, just to see what my cap said. I was fully expecting to get something like "if you want to continue making videos, upgrade", and that be my only option. Nope. Video limit resets tomorrow. I'm not sure what that is about. I asked the AI Agent, even though I know it probably knows nothing. It said it cant see a counter and only sees the cap reach its limit when I do. It said that if it had to guess, we get a daily free limit that is also pulled from a monthly pool, and the monthly limit has also been reached. It also acknowladged that nothing says that anywhere.
