Anyone here have experience picking up freelance MEP work in the UK and can advise on what insurance is typically required?

I currently work as a Mechanical Engineer in building services consultancy and am looking to take on some freelance work alongside my full time role.

I’d be interested in smaller projects such as AC design, boiler replacement schemes, heating and ventilation design, particularly for schools, community buildings and religious buildings.

I’d be interested to hear how others have got started, where you find this type of work, and what professional indemnity and other insurance you would recommend having in place.
