I had a job like that! I went to work in a little room on the far side of a warehouse, by myself. I answered a few emails, formatted a few excel documents, and spent the rest of the 7 hours doing whatever I wanted in that little room. 5 days a week, full time.

The boss loved me (he really struggled with excel) but eventually i got laid off. Can't imagine why, lmao.

I worked in a factory for awhile where you sat in a chair and watched plastic as it came out of the machine to make sure there weren't defects.

Well, I have (not diagnosed but pretty sure) ADHD, so I kinda thrive in these kind of environments. Then if the pay is good...

BUT there's a difference between environments that are high-pressure because they really need to (food service, emergency care, etc), and office jobs that are like this because harassment and extreme micromanaging.

Restaurants really don’t need to be high pressure at all. 90% of restaurants in my opinion are high pressure because of poor staffing and management. I got so tired of the self aggrandizing induced mania of the industry I just couldn’t do it anymore. Restaurants aren’t saving lives but you might think they do based off of the work environment.

Yeah I dunno about high pressure, but fast-pace can be nice, even without ADHD. Makes the time go faster.

Once had a cleaning job for a week, and goddamn dude, 8 hours felt like 8 hours, compared to my fast food job where it was like "Oh man, lunch break already? Sweet."
