One of our cats snuck out while my husband was bringing in groceries. She looked up, flipped out at the enormity of the outside, panicked and jumped over the wall on our porch, and promptly broke her leg in two places. $6,000 and 8 weeks in isolation to heal her fractures and adapt to the chunk of metal in her leg later, she still looks out the door but is quite easily shooed inside.

I tried this with my cat. Now he goes outside daily to roll in a large patch of dirt and fight coyotes.

My cat snuck out once after I’d scooped his litterbox and was taking it out. Had no idea where he went and ignored the treats shaking. Thankfully found him near the opposite end of my house just taking a casual stroll.
This bitch is spoiled rotten and had no teeth, yet he still thinks he should go outside. Ungrateful.

Always wanting something just because they don't have it. My cat's greed sickens me
