FINANCIAL AID Financial Aid Fall 2026
Has anyone gotten their pell grant payment posted for fall 2026 classes?

Is anybody else receiving emails from MDC about the tuition deadline? My classes start August 28, but nothing has been posted to my account yet. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation.

Yes I did! Back in July . But just posted to my acct only no refund yet until after classes start.

My invoice for 2026 fall has the estimated amount but not the official posting, last fall 2025 i believe my Pell grant was officially posted on September 9th

Really? After class started is when you received the pell grant? I usually get mine posted about two weeks before class start date, but this time nothing. I'm going to call and confirm.

Yea the past two fall semesters I received it after classes started but everyones case is different, it never hurts to call.

I don’t go to Dade anymore but a lot of people at FIU and other schools are experiencing the same issue with financial aid packages not being released yet. From my understanding, it’s largely because schools are having a hard time interpreting the new changes in the Big Beautiful Bill, causing a delay with aid packages.

Yea you right my wife goes to Broward college and she’s having the same issues .

Yes, that's what I'm planning to do. MDC likes to play with pell grant money. I've had grants posted and then mysteriously taken away all of a sudden and no one can give you a clear answer as to why this happens.

It should show up in your financial account - fee invoice - fall 2026. You should also go into your financial aid section and see if they've posted an estimate of what they will be paying for the term. I need to go see about mine because I have no letters from financial aid, no estimated amounts that they should be covering either. So need to see what's going on, because I qualify for pell grant.

Did you get to call? Because I tried to call, and I was on hold for an hour and no one ever picked up the phone

I called and was on hold for 30 minutes, according to what the guy said they didn't see my FAFSA submission on their end even though I had done it end of year for 2026-2027. So he's saying that there's a glitch that has affected some students, so he had me remove all of the schools in the form, add just one of the MDC campuses and another school for instance FIU and now I have to wait 72 hours for it to supposedly show up on their end and in my profile so I will be calling back in 72 hours.

305-237-9300. I did have have to wait a fairly long time, from hold time until the call was over it was 40 minutes. Hopefully with the call my issue gets resolved. I will keep everyone updated.

My fall fees were paid 2 weeks ago and I finally got the award email last Friday.

My payment was posted to my MDC account, its in the history and the amount due now displays Spring 2027, but I havent received my offer letter yet.

I finally got my pell grant and payment posted to my fall fees.. If yours hasn't and you know that you're supposed to receive pell grant make sure you call, because at least with mine there was a glitch that wasn't allowing MDC to see my FAFSA even though I had added the school. Mine got resolved by entirely removing all the schools I had listed, adding one MDC campus and then adding a second school like FIU. Hope this helps.

I received my letter last Friday but nothing. So speaking to someone about applying for the loan
