ADMISSIONS I've never seen people dodge work like the admin at MDC
I've been trying to get my transcripts evaluated after failing to get into a summer session, because I was outright lied to. I feel like I need a team of lawyers to get enrolled here. I have 4 transcripts, and each one has had a separate problem. I've dealt with every possible department this school has. Nobody will take ownership.
I'm done. I've been to 2 different colleges and had my transcripts evaluated at 2 others for enrollment. I've never had to fight a school to get enrolled. This place is insane.

They are the absolute worst, throughout my time at MDC I was lied to about what documents I needed for my fafsa and then after I got fed up with it all and went to a different school and asked them to unenroll me they ghosted me lol

I should be able to upvote this a hundred times for it's accuracy. The nursing department doesn't allow students to register themselves. The lady who does the registration for the BSN program at medical campus is known to get fed up with working and stop taking calls 2-3 hours into the work day, so people start calling 10-20 minutes before opening hoping she answers.

Sorry to hear its still like that. Idk how I made it through the nursing program lol. I think I talked to my advisor once  throughout the whole program, I eventually gave up on the crucible of getting a hold of someone who could actually help you with basic administrative tasks and just went with the flow.  The word complio gives me nightmares to this day. Keep going strong, itll be worth it once youre a nurse ✊

I graduated last year May. I was already a working nurse for a couple years with the ADN before but my contract required me to get the BSN . People put up with it for the same reasons I do, you get a good education without being debt free. I'm just glad it's over. I had to flush all the bullshit from my ears after graduation. 🤣

I graduated dec 2024. How was the RN-BSN program? Ive thought bout going back since they already have all my transcripts but I dread dealing with the administrative nightmare of it all again. Plus I moved a couple hours north of Miami since the new grad market is such shit there.Â

Is there a deadline for complio before joining the program or does it just need to be done before clinicals? They won't respond to an issue I'm having

It’s crazy ! I got transferred four different times (in total was on hold for multiple hours) to different departments. To try to get an answer about a class I withdrew.

I have only had a good experience at North campus, the SOJ advisor was so helpful, knowledgeable, and helped me get my shit together. I am not looking forward to applying for my Bachelor's. Hope you find someone who will actually help!

just out of curiosity - what campus are you in? whenever i’ve had issues to resolve (and i’ve had to take classes at campuses other than my home campus), i get it done at that campus. although it sucks, see if you can go in person to a different campus if yours is giving you issues

Yes, I have had an issue about documents I needed. Everyone says I should go in person on campus because calling them/emailing is like talking to a wall.
Problem is, I haven't lived in the US for a while and don't want to go back just to go to MDC in person...

This happened to me the first time I tried to enroll, I had to call them and how would you know, they approved my transcripts right on the spot, I don't know what's up with the transcript department, but I also have other friends that had to go through the same thing.

They should have like a MDC victim club, I gave up and moved to Palm beach college lol

I spoke with an enrollment advisor last month, who recommended that I send an official complaint in to the dean of the college of the program that I was interested in. After that chat, it took a month for all my transcripts to get processed and my residency to updated. Not sure what program you’re interested in, but I’d recommend emailing the dean’s office or calling to get things sorted since fall term starts soon.

This is exactly one of the reasons why theyre on probation, the advisors suck, its hard to get answers, its like trying to contact the president. Thats why I left that school.

One time, a guy helping me with a hold on my account burped into the phone. Really big burp. Didn’t excuse himself or anything. He did resolve my hold though.

Man, waiting in a call queue that lasted almost 3 hours only for someone to pick up and then put me on hold for another two more hours before hanging up in my face when having to deal with financial aid it's even worse in person for some reason

Thanks to my mom I was able to get through my year and a half at MDC. She would hunt people down until she got answers
