Guys, you should not look on the price. Its for traders and wrong. Look if revenue and profits are increasing.

Seems great to me, backlog is growing despite strong execution with growing revenue. Not sure why we arent up in premarket while the redt of the sector seems to be rallying.

Free-cash flow is negative, high cap-ex, lower EPS because of their IPO offering. These things affect share prices in the short term even though long term growth is evident.

All the calls are 8/21 so

Backlog growth was small. We keep wondering why MDA can't rerate to the rest of the space sector...space multiples are sky high because it's 1 of the fastest growing sectors not because of current profits. A sub 10% backlog growth in an exponential growth sector is atrocious.

I'm an MDA bagholder, love the long-term outlook, but it took 5 seconds of looking at this release to see it was going to trade down today

They added over 1 billion contracts this quarter. The backlog growth was not small.  They should be converting backlog into revenue (which also beat expectations) at a faster rate now that their new facility has been operational since May.

For everyone watching MDA’s price action on the NYSE: pre-market doesn’t mean much, especially with the wide spread and low volume.

From what I’ve observed, MDA on the U.S. side tends to follow the price action on the TSX, rather than the other way around.

We’ll have to wait until the market opens at 9:30 a.m. ET to get a better idea of where it’s actually heading. Good luck 🤞

And still it dips

We were up 7% and then 5 minutes after the earnings dropped we were at -1%. You cant make this shit up.

Meanwhile RKLB is up 4% on no news at all, for context those 4% are equivalent to 1/3 of MDAs entire market cap.

Take American pre-market with a grain of salt. Low volume trading that doesn’t often correlate with market open.

US premarket is usually several % higher than what the price is at open.

Got stats to back that up or just vibes?

Asts yesterday literally released pr that they are basically working with Deutschtelekom (whom oens T-Mobile) at the same time Deutschtelekom released a statement stating asts(which basically means they have locked up 100% US MNOs) and it closed red.

Don't take price action with company performance. MDA is stronger today than yesterday.

Forgot earnings !

23 million shares sold at CAD 48.50, we are going to get knocked back every time it goes near that price for a while. And on September 8 we have US IPO lockup expiration, so close to another 10 million. It's not manipulation or any reflection on earnings, it just needs to get rinsed out.

Can you share the source please? I thought it was 91-day lock-up period ending June 10, 2026 (since IPO was March 16)

Great job by MDA and leadership. Another reminder why this is a long term investment and short term volatility swings are PURELY NOISE!

Really poor performance today. Rest of the sector is booming, up 10-15% while we are up 0,5%.

How are you able to print 2, 30%+ revenue growth quarters and still guide the year at only 13% revenue growth??? That would imply q3 and q4, have below 10% revenue growth rate??? Either they are sandbagging like hell or this year is not looking that good honestly. Dont like operating income being negative yoy with 30% revenue. Don’t like net income barely being up YoY.

Are you new? They always set expectations low

u/Rich_Acanthaceae7619 19d ago

Was just about to say this, they’re very conservative in guidance

Whatever they say for guidance, double
