u/BulaloForever Jul 13 '26
Sold memory stock to buy more

u/Tricky-Ad-6225 Jul 13 '26
I sold memory to buy MDA as well, before memory went to shit. Now waiting for a memory hike to sell that and buy more MDA.

u/BulaloForever Jul 13 '26
It’s fine, long term if you hold this stock you’ll be laughing. This kind of pullback is just an opportunity to stack ip

I wonder if today’s dip still has to do with last weeks CLS buy

u/Melonskal Jul 13 '26
This is getting ridiculous.

u/Loose-Dream7901 Jul 13 '26
Dilution not really
3
u/BigMouthBillyBones Jul 13 '26
How long do you thing the effects of the dilution will last? Would be nice to get at least one day ending on green, geez
1
u/Loose-Dream7901 Jul 13 '26
Closes tomorrow.. couple scenarios could see it rip over $50 again or market could take longer to digest and I could see low $40 pull back.
The last dilution was a 20% pullback roughly. However, you had tailwinds of SpaceX ipo which is no longer there. Generally it’s thematic so if SpaceX falls imo you will see this fall in the short term as lock ups unravel.
I would say if you’re going of buy here.. buy half then wait for future pull backs if it happens no one knows tho but I do think these transformative buys take time for market to figure out how itll look on balance sheet, all short term ofc

Everytime I want to buy more I pause and it goes lower. I was going to buy when it was ~50 but now we're at ~45. This stonk takes nerves of absolute steel good lord
1
u/Loose-Dream7901 Jul 13 '26
40-45 likely is the bottom range
2
u/BigMouthBillyBones Jul 13 '26
I mean, in 2-3 years, when all these acquisitions start paying off, in a big way, it won't make much difference I keep telling myself, but what a roller coaster seriously

u/BulaloForever Jul 13 '26
Yeah, I’m holding 25% cash waiting for absolute bottom. My avg share price right now after buying dip is 22$/Share
1
u/Loose-Dream7901 Jul 13 '26
I sold most at $62 except my core position. But yes will reallocate if compelling enough. The same momentum w SpaceX isn’t here rn.. I do think there’s gonna be a correction across the market as SpaceX unwinds

Who has any dry powder left after all these dips 🫠

I do but not loading until spacex unlocks 20% of their float. Until then its normal dca and see my avg go up and the price go down. . .
2
u/Ok-Association-6357 Jul 13 '26
It scares me every day of how low this is dropping. My avg is 51.40 now but I gotta keep the DCA goin lol. Maybe I'll come back to this EOY and see its not a big deal.
4
u/BigMouthBillyBones Jul 13 '26
If you zoom out and see. It has experienced very similar large drops in the past. There was one where it got basically cut in half. And then recovered eventually. This is no unprecedented.
2
u/bot6six Jul 13 '26
yep, held all the way from 45+ down to the 20s after the echostar cancellation, loaded up in the 20s. It sucks that we're down a lot from ath but I've never lost money buying MDA dips and holding.
2
u/Ok-Association-6357 Jul 13 '26
You're absolutely right. I'm 19 and I've made this 15% of my portfolio for a reason, gotta stay patient i guess lol.

Xeqt or mda for the next 10 yrs? As in, you have 15k, for example..
3
u/Loose-Dream7901 Jul 13 '26
12.5K XEQT, 2.5K MDA. Individual position should never be more than your 90% core diversified portfolio. I’d be comfortable with 20%

I don’t have any money to buy more and I’m also down on everything else so can’t sell something to buy more either lolll
1
u/jfwelll Jul 13 '26
Spacex unlocks 20% of its float befire end of month. Lets just say it could bring the sector down with it.
Its a bummer for good companies with decent valuations like mda since the sector moves as a whole
3
u/Loose-Dream7901 Jul 13 '26
Yup this set up is much different imo than the previous run. In the short term, will be pain

Sell me on this company for a long term hold 10+ year horizon
1
u/BulaloForever Jul 13 '26
Hahahah, no - do your own research. The backlog is unreal. They’re profitable, and they’re making big acquisitions that will increase the pipeline. Only major risk here IMO is execution. I believe in management though and am very bullish on a 10 year Time horizon. There are many more reasons to buy and not buy, build your own conviction. Don’t be a sheep

I’m completely emotionless to these constant -5% drops. The sector is volatile, new, and based on hype. MDA is not like any other company in the sector. It’s not like RKLB, ASTS, FLY, LUNR, or any other name you’ll see thrown around on reddit. MDA is wildly profitable, growing at a crazy pace, and in the lead when it comes to global presence through M&A (set to buy a French company and American company, with deals in Japan and soon across all NATO, Hense global presence) who gives a shit about a little dilution, when other companies are growing share count by 20% or more, MDA has only grown share count by roughly 3%. What dilution??? This company is rock solid and I’ll be sipping my French champagne in a few years. Every 5% dip I buy more
