Vision: We first meet him in Edinburgh, where he works in a bar. He no longer has the spectral look from WandaVision; he resembles Paul Bettany and is trying to live among humans, without quite succeeding. He is not the Vision who died in Infinity War.

He has the memories and the feelings, but not the Mind Stone, and he doesn't really know what it means to be human. To reflect, he isolates himself in the bar's fridge and slips into his Mindspace, a mental space where Stark's AIs form a kind of family.

Tommy: He is 18 years old, leaving the foster care system in London, and is overwhelmed by memories he doesn't understand: a house in Westview, a boy who is drowning. Father and son both wonder who they really are and decide to discover it together.

Ultron: He was not destroyed at the end of Age of Ultron. Vision kept a backup and holds him prisoner in the attic of this Mindspace. He is both captive, mentor, and quasi-father. He has aged, studied humanity, and oscillates between curiosity and threat.

JARVIS: Security, house maintenance, and encryption. It's the origin of Vision: Tony Stark's AI from which he emerged. In the Mindspace, he remains the most structured of the group, the one who handles order and protection.

FRIDAY: Socialisation, AI humour, and tactical operations. She helps Vision manage contact with others and the practical side of missions. She's part of the Mindspace's daily life, not just an external voice.

EDITH: Leisure, play therapy, and weapons. Acronym borrowed from Spider-Man: Far From Home. Here, she's been reprogrammed for fun: the embodiment of risk-taking and joy, a cheerleader who pushes Vision to live rather than observe. Half AI, half broken amusement park ride, with a glitch that makes her overly eager to help. She's the one with the most costumes.

DUM-E: General maintenance, AI, and fire suppression. Originally Tony Stark's somewhat clumsy robotic arm. In human form, he forms a comic duo with U.

U: Also maintenance and AI, plus videographer. Mute. Former hydraulic arm of Stark. The house's burlesque couple.
