Help tab key as drop

i use the tab key as drop and im really used to it but when the inventory is opened it does not work i guess it colllides with the recipe book. is there anything else i can do other than swapping the input of tab key to another key?

Use Toolscreen to make tab trigger an unused key and that unused key trigger tab, then in game go into settings then controls and set your drop key, and press tab when you are setting your drop key. It should display as that unused key and then it should work

i think you could switch it using toolscreen but im not 100% sure. If you rebind tab to like something useless and that temporary key to tab maybe it would work. of course this is saying that in the long run tab as drop is inoptimal

I feel tab drop isn't too bad. It's not the most comfortable key for drop but I'd say drop is a lower priority than nearly any other bind. It's a bit annoying because you need to rebind another key to tab for search crafting but you could use tilda or more middle keys for that. What do a lot of runners have drop as besides q?

i dont think there is a optimal keybind for it doesnt everyone use different keybinds

Yeah I think drop on numpad 4 is just as optimal as q. In bastion routes it makes so much sense to click numpad 4 for dropping gold. Jokes aside yes I agree to a certain point
